Meals.
Breakfast is included for those who have booked accommodation.
All meals served are vegan with some non-vegan options such as yoghurt available on the side. We cannot guarantee allergen free meals and it is not possible for us to cater to individual dietary requirements.
Our meals mainly use ingredients which are wheat free or gluten free, however there are times that the meal will contain traces of wheat or gluten, or the side dish is, for example, bread.
Children and young adults.
Children and young adults are welcome to attend, however for their safety and well-being some special conditions apply.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. With regret we have no childcare facilities and KMC Australia cannot be held responsible for children whilst on site.
Young Adults: 16 and 17-year-olds must be accompanied by an over-18.
The Australian Festival/Dharma Celebration is a large-scale public event and the care and safety of children and young adults remain at all times the responsibility of their parents/nominated carers/accompanying adult. NKT-IKBU and the Festival/Dharma Celebration Organisers for insurance purposes cannot take responsibility for children and young adults.
Under 16’s cannot be accommodated in shared rooms or dormitory accommodation with adults who are not their parents/legal guardians, named nominated carer, or family members. Under 16’s who are camping, must sleep in the same tent as their parent/legal guardian, nominated carer or an adult family member. Under 16’s who are sharing a tent are free of charge.
16 & 17 year olds cannot be accommodated in shared rooms or dormitory accommodation. They may stay in twin accommodation if their nominated responsible adult is also sharing the room. Camping your own tent is permitted.
For ages 4 to 15, a $4 daily fee applies for breakfast when staying in a twin/double room already paid for by an adult or when camping with an adult.
During empowerments, teachings and meditation sessions, we will provide a video link for carers with children.
Parents or guardians must book on behalf of their children or young adults to attend the event. To make a booking for your child or young adult, please contact us at info.australianfestivals@kadampa.org.au.

Mobility access.
Access to the Temple and main building is ramped. Toilet facilities are available near the Temple. Please contact us in advance if you have special requirements or restricted mobility and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Mobile Phone Connection.
Because of our rural location and the nature of the buildings, mobile network access is generally very weak. Some networks get no signal at all.
General Guidelines.
During your visit to KMC Australia you are requested to please refrain from smoking (inc. electronic cigarettes), taking intoxicants and drinking alcohol in the building and in the grounds.
The use of gas burners, open flames, and the burning of incense is strictly prohibited on the premises.
Pets.
With regret, we cannot accept pets except Guide or other Assistance Dogs.
